I'm all about my freckles- love 'em, won't cover them up. The brown blotches under my eyes ( from a combo of hormones and tanning, which I no longer do) do not qualify as freckles, and they're making my dark circles look worse. I've been using Alpha Hydrox Spot Light Targeted Skin Lightener, $7.99 with coupon at Ulta, for about a month. I put it on my spots morning and night with a Q-Tip, and it looks like I'm about half way there.
It has 10% Glycolic Acid and 2% Hydroquinone in a very light lotion base. I will say it was a little irritating the first week (it passed), and it is drying, so I recommend a heavy eye cream after it has sunk in for about five minutes. Overall I really think it is working well, but I'll update in another month!

Sit, Stay

This Revlon ColorStay eyeliner in Black Brown smudges so well into my lash line, and then doesn't move the rest of the day. It really is impressive for a liner that feels so creamy and, if I remember correctly, only cost about 5 bucks.....
btw, I'm blissing out to Sara Bareilles' Love on the Rocks right now. I should be on the beach with a martini!
Au Naturale
I have worn L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara since the beginning of time (my time, anyways), but I have also cheated many, many times on the hunt for something better. I have now run back to the arms of my (new and improved) favorite. I picked up a tube of L'Oreal Voluminous Naturale in Blackest Black for $4.94 at WalMart the other day, and yet again I wish I had never strayed. My lashes are long, thick, black and the curl holds like I was wearing waterproof mascara. So far I've had no smudging, clumping or flaking- even when I re-curled my lashes today to see if they would flake.
My one and only complaint is that the brush was one of those skinny, rubbery kinds that I can't stand. They just don't work well for me, so I washed the wand from an old tube of Voluminous I found in my vanity and switched them. Other than that, this really is a great product!
There I go....
After looking for a place that actually reviews drugstore beauty products, I decided to start my own. I'll post reviews of new items, things I've just found/rediscovered, and all of my current faves. If you have comments or suggestions of things I should review, lets hear 'em!
